Terms of Service
By creating an UpStats account, you agree to these terms. Read them; they're short on purpose.
What UpStats is
UpStats is a personal habit, fitness and skill tracker. It is not a medical device, and nothing in the app is medical, nutritional or fitness advice. Talk to a qualified professional before starting a new diet or exercise program, especially if you have an existing condition.
Your account
You must be at least 13 years old to use UpStats. You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for what happens under your account. One person, one account.
Your content
What you log — journal entries, meals, workouts, notes — is yours. You give us permission to store and display it back to you, sync it across your devices, and, if you join a Circle, show it to the other members of that Circle. We don't use it for anything else.
Acceptable use
- No abusing the API, scraping other users' data, or attempting to break the app's ranking or Circle mechanics.
- No impersonating another person in a Circle.
- No real-money stakes, wagers or gambling of any kind inside Circles. UpStats does not support this and never will without a separate, explicit opt-in that's reviewed for legal compliance first.
- No harassment of other users, in a Circle or anywhere else in the app.
Free and paid features
Everything in UpStats today is free. If we ever introduce a paid tier, nothing that's free today will be moved behind it — paid tiers only add new things.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings; this is immediate and permanent. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms.
No warranty, limited liability
UpStats is provided "as is." We work to keep it reliable, but we don't guarantee it will be error-free or always available. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages from using the app.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app changes. Continuing to use UpStats after an update means you accept the new terms.
